Anh Vo

Anh Vo and Kristel Baldoz performed a work shaped by shamanic embodiment and queer ancestral memory, staged in the charged space at the main hall in the temple. Vo's practice of weaving Vietnamese folk rituals with the formal rigor of downtown experimental performance converged with Baldoz's investigations into Filipina agricultural labor, racialized movement, and the animacy of objects—producing a performance that located the body as a vessel for apparitional forces. The work moved between ancestral presence and contemporary critique, channeling history through flesh, gesture, and the ceremonial architecture of the temple grounds.
