Anh Vo

Anh Vo is a Vietnamese choreographer and writer based between New York City and Hanoi. Their work weaves together Vietnamese folk rituals, postwar sonic landscapes, and the formal rigor of downtown experimental performance to explore the body as a vessel for apparitional forces. Described by The New York Times as "risky, erotic, and boldly humorous," Vo's performances have been presented internationally and are underpinned by research in Performance Studies and a deep engagement with queer theory and aesthetics.
