Tulum consists of a small town (or “pueblo”) that is set back about 3 kilometers from the beachfront. The town is connected to the beach by Avenida Coba (Route 109), which in turn connects to a beachfront access road (Route 15) which runs parallel to the playa.2

Ontopo is an platform developed through artist-led projects that engage sacred space as venues for creative production and performance. Each project fosters human relationships with both unseen forces and land, or topography. Ontopo facilitates intentional spaces for creative communities to realize multidisciplinary projects, artworks, performances.
