DRIVING YOUR OWN CAR
Approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from NYC, in normal traffic conditions. If leaving from Lower Manhattan during peak traffic times, it can sometimes take an hour to get to the George Washington Bridge so you might want to Waze, go through the Holland or Lincoln Tunnel, etc.
BY BUS FROM NYC TO MONTICELLO NY
Please take the 1:30 Shortline Bus on Saturday March 26th from Port Authority to Monticello, New York. Be sure to Specify the “Express Bus”. These are more frequent than the train but be sure to get on one before 3pm. A one way ticket is approximately $30 and a cab from the station to Catskill Zendo is another $25-$35. Taxis are available at the bus station in Monticello and you can also use your Lyft or Uber apps to get a car.
BY TRAIN FROM NYC
Please take the 1:11pm NJ Transit train from Penn Station (be sure to transfer at Secaucus to Port Jervis line) to Middletown, New York. There aren’t a lot of trains on Saturday so be sure to check the schedule here. If for example you miss this one and take the 3:56 train you might miss the opening ceremony. Taxis are available at the train station in Middletown and you can also use your Lyft or Uber apps to get a car.
